Dev Diary for Unlikely Allies, 2nd entry 🐣
I’m not entirely on schedule with this post, but damn it, I blame Easter! So, what’s happened since the last update? Some progress, not much. I mentioned earlier that I’m investigating kraft paper playing cards (you know, that “recycled paper look” with black ink, which I thought could look really cool). I printed a prototype using that paper and generally like the result, but there are a couple of drawbacks: the paper is expensive compared to my regular white “Koala” glossy paper. Also, my printer doesn’t seem to like the texture and keeps jamming. So, I’m thinking of abandoning that idea. I also bought some card sleeves, which should help with prototyping. This is my first playing card game, so I’m learning as I go.
